Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I hope that you all have a Happy Holiday and a great weekend.  I have Christmas Eve tonight at my Grams house and the Christmas morning with the kiddos.  After that they got to there dads till Sunday afternoon and I get to spend Christmas evening curled up on the couch with my sweetie.  ( or maybe playing with my sewing machine that is under the tree  =]  ),  I am brand new to sewing. Did it once in middle school all those years ago so if any of you know good places to get tips and such please let me know.

I went with my mom to pick out a new kitten last night.  She is such a doll.  Her name is peek a boo.  She is a light colored calico.  I wish I had a pic to show you all but she hasn't sent me one yet.  I made her a mouse last night.  Here is where I got the pattern.  http://annemariesbreiblog.blogspot.com/p/pattern-mouse-patroon-muis.html.

The English instructions are at the bottom of the page.   It was really easy to make.

I better finish getting ready to leave in a bit but I want to wish you all the best and I will try to get on here more often to let you know how my adventures in sewing are going.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Teri

  1. Congratulations on the new kitten - what a lovely present to give a pet a home! That's the best kind. Your mouse looks adorable and I'm sure Peek-a-Boo will love it!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  2. A new catnip-toy to send to the Wyoming County (NY) SPCA. My spare time project is to make all different kind of amigurumi (sp?) patterns thatt can have catnip placed in them. Then, they sell them at their mall storefront. I know the 1st bunch I mailed them sold out the same day they got them . .at $5 apiece, so I was VERY pleased. They have a GIGANTIC drop off rate of cats/kittens and are barely making it with their couny funding.

Well, enough of that . . the pattern is great . . . and I hope your mom's calico is as adorable as the 3 that were in the litter with Marcus, Matthew and Nosey (who, herself, is a calico.)

Now that I have written a dissertation . . have a blessed Christmas and a safe New Year.
